Post-Nepal Feels Pt.1

After 14 days of self-quarantine and another 23 days of isolation, I am finally posting about my Nepal trip! Although the program was shorten by 1 week and with us leaving 3 days earlier than the conclusion of the program, we are still very very grateful for the opportunity to even attend our placement and have the ability to collect data that will contribute to our research project!!

The first week of our trip was mainly spent at Dhulikhel Hospital were we had lectures and workshops to prepare us for the community stay! The content that was covered was basically the Health Promotion lectures delivered by Roisin from first and second year!! After these sessions, I realised how important it was to remember content that was taught previously in order to be able to apply them to real-life situations.

The workshops covered information that we needed to understand whilst in the community such as cultural awareness and consideration to the residents who lives there. The workshops also allowed us to understand the residents a bit more and hence create activities/programs that we will be of most benefit for them!!

(Stay tuned for Pt.2 where I will share my experience out in the community!)
