WE MADE IT!! After 18 hours of traveling Tash, Vanessa, Michelle and I made it to Kathmandu!
This week we had workshops at Dhelikhel Hospital/Kathmandu University to prepare for our research and experience at the small village of Dhunkhaka for the next 3 weeks!! We went over a lot of health promotion content as well as needs analysis and types of surveys that will be important for us whilst in the community outreach clinic. The plan is for us to evaluate the previous year’s work on whether or not such program has made an impact in the community. Depending on the result we find, we are then to continue their work or to implement changes or a new program that may prove more beneficial to the community!
PS: Noticed that Kathmandu’s Health Science library stocked Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology!!
