This week was the first time that i had a child patient. i was really worried at how this was going to go, and wasn’t sure if it was going to go to well. but i really surprised myself at how comfortable i was and how well the patient and i were able to communicate even though he was 9. this really helped to show me that i shouldn’t be worried about working with kids and my communication skills with them. this help me also when it came to being assistant the next day where i was able to keep a patients 3 kids distracted and entertained as their mother was getting dental work done. i am now more confident in how i work with kids and am excited to get more experience with working with them.
